Friends List

With friends it's much more fun!

A working example of the Friends List module can be found at Assets > Lucky Raccoon Games > Really Simple Steam Integration > Demo > 04 Friends List

The Friends List module helps you to obtain the names and avatars of the players' friends, that way, you can create even better experiences in your games, as if the player were playing with his friends.

Some examples of application include but are not limited to:

  • On a match results screen, add names and avatars of the player's friends, for example at the end of a match in a racing game against AIs (like in Forza games)

  • Change the names of the characters in the game to the same names as the player's friends, such as an RPG where your squad contains your name and the name of your friends

  • I'm sure you'll find much more creative uses than those I've mentioned. What matters here is that you understand my point :)
